As with my colleague Elizabeth at University of Puget Sound, we’re also beginning to think about ways to encourage use of the collections for research. I know that despite anything we, as the professionals, might suggest, the students at our respective institutions will come up with innovative ideas of their own. Six collections have now been described to DACS standards and are ready to upload to the NWDA website when GFU formally becomes a NWDA member on July 1st. Researchers will learn about collections pertaining to prominent Quaker educators and theologians, and university activities such as the on-going Hoover Symposium, held biennally since 1977, among other topics.
